Hamchi gateway configuration

Hi everybody,

I have the following setup: 

 - raspberry pi with hamachi installed and configured as gateway

 - 4G dongle with usb interface using the following subnet 192.168.0.0/24

 - DHCP server - installed on the same machine with the following subnet 192.168.1.0/24

The Hamachi is starting well but I can only see the 192.168.0.0/24 subnet when I'm connected from another machine using hamachi client. How can I add the 192.168.1.0/24 ? I tried in command line something like: hamachi gw-config NETWORK-ID add 192.168.1.0/24, I receive OK but I still can't see any remote devices from  192.168.1.0/24. 

Also the ifconfig commands shows me the following interfaces:

eth0 - 192.168.1.0/24

usb0  - 192.168.0.0/24

ham0 - some ipv4 address 

ham1 - ipv6 address

ham-br0 - a brdige between ham1 and usb0

 

Can I configure the hamachi to bridge the eth0 instead?  Why the bridge is between ham1 and usb0 instead of ham0 and usb0 even I try to set hamachi to use ipv4 (hamachi set-ip-address ipv4) ? I see you have a big lack of documentation about gateway configuration...

Hamachi on Synology NAS

Hello, I have a Synology DS918+ NAS running DSM 6.2.2-24922, and I would like to connect it to my Hamachi VPN.

 

I have connected to the NAS with SSH, and I am trying to follow the Linux (Ubuntu) installation instructions on page 14 of the Hamachi User Guide. I get the following error when I try to install the package:

 

sudo dpkg -i logmein-hamachi_2.1.0.198-1_amd64.deb
Authenticating logmein-hamachi_2.1.0.198-1_amd64.deb ...
debsig: logmein-hamachi_2.1.0.198-1_amd64.deb does not appear to be a deb format package

How start Hamachi before Windows 10 login

Hello to all,

as I wrote I need to connect my desktop PC (Windows 10 Professional) using hamachi. My problem is that the Hamachi service doesn't start until someboby do the login on Windows PC.

Is there any solution to enable Hamachi Vpn before Windows login screen in order to give me the possibility to logon by remote?

Network Issue with Samsung PC Tablets Running Late Windows

I have a couple of Samsung PC Tablets running Windows 10. They are having a peculiar issue where their internet connection will be lost when Hamachi is installed. Essentially, the tablet tries to connect to the Internet by using the Hamachi router which results in no internet access. The only fix that I have been able to successfully execute is removing Hamachi from the machine altogether. I have attempted to search for information on this issue multiple times. I have yet to find a solution. Has anyone had this issue and been able to successfully alleviate the problem? What specifically is the problem when this happens? Thanks in advance for any help.

Inbound traffic blocked, firewall is disabled

Is there a clean way to allow inbound traffic for hamachi on windows 10 ? I mean the fix which consist into unchecking hamachi in windows firewall settings let me with the persistent message "Windows Firewall is disabled". Can we not just add a inbound rule ?

Relayed Tunnel

Using the diagnostics tool, it shows me that local is fine but for peer, the inbound connection is blocked. It also shows "relayed tunnel".

 

I have tried adding hamachi-2 to the firewall exception. I have added hamachi-2 tunneling to the inbound. I have unchecked hamachi from the protected network connections in the hamachi public profile. I have gone into the hamachi advanced settings and tweaked the settings as suggested by some videos.

 

The weird thing is while I was over at my friend's place while connected to their router, everything worked fine. It only doesn't work while I'm connected to my router. Also, someone else is connected to a different router and is able to connect just fine.

 

I am able to ping my friend and I get a response but it still shows "relayed tunnel".

Inconsistent IP address returned on Ping

Hi all,

A mysterious issue has just popped up and I can't figure it out.  I have been using a very simple Hamachi VPN for months. Just two computers, connected over the internet. WORK-PC is on the company network, my laptop is at home. Until a couple of days ago, this worked fine.  If I pinged WORK-PC from home, it would resolve to the Hamachi IP (25.82.xxx.xxx) .  If I pinged WORK-PC when connected to the office Wifi, it would resolve to WORK-PC's local IP on the office network (192.168.1.XX).  My home network uses 192.168.0.X.

 

Now, something weird is happening at home.  After starting the PC or restarting Hamachi, the first time I ping WORK-PC, it resolves to the Hamachi IP (25.82.xxx.xxx) and WORK-PC responds.  If I then ping WORK-PC again only a moment later, it resolves to WORK-PC's local IP address on the work network and cannot be reached.  So I have no communicate WORK-PC at all, unless I edit my hosts file or similar.

 

Here is the ping output...

Has anyone got any ideas how to resolve this?  I'm completely stumped!

I have been trying for a while to get a lan going with my friend to play on im using the twitch launcher with hexxit updated and my friend keeps getting the io.netty.channel.abstractchannel$annotatedconnectexception connection refused and i really dont know what to do

Hamachi not in "Active Networks" in Control Panel

I'm 99% sure this is why I can't connect to hamachi. Now this happened already to me like 1 month ago. I don't remember how I fixed it but I was able to connect to hamachi like weeks ago (Hamachi appeared on the "active networks") and host a minecraft server and play with my friends, until I lost internet connection for a whole day. Probably a problem on the isp's side. When the connection returned, I opened hamachi it suddenly was back to what it was before I fixed it. 0.0.0.0 IP, a gray icon on the icon of hamachi in the taskbar.

 

I have tried every fix here in forum but nothing works. I can't remember how I fixed it the first time. I'm just hoping here someone has this problem too and knows a fixburp.png.















*EDIT*: I just remembered! I used the /ipconfig /release then /ipconfig /renew. That fixed it, but after the internet connection incident it doesn't work anymore.

 

*EDIT2*: Isn't there supposed to be a thing like this while installing hamachi?

Well it doesn't show anything like this while I'm installing hamachi now. But back then (like 4 years ago when hamachi was still working perfectly) I remember it did that.

Can I assign a primary DNS to a network?

So I have DNS server running on my masterhost pc. I have a webserver running on my VPN. I want people to have their Primary DNS changed to the server's so they can visit xxxxxx.localhost

 

Is this possible?

Making Hamachi Better...

Hamachi is a neat product and service.  It could be better with the following:

 

1. In the HUI, the ability to determine & set when the tunnel is available, by time & date. By time would be useful.

Example, Tunnel A, Is accessible at/from 7am -12 noon. Perhaps even day sensitive. Only Mon-Wed.

"Create" button for Hamachi doesn't work

Hey so I'm using Hamachi and everything installs fine and the program seems to work up until I want to create a network. I can join a network, but when I try to make my own everything is fine up until the Network ID and password is all setup and I try to click Create, but nothing happens. I have re-installed the program like 3 times now and the "Create" button does not work. It just presses in and turns gray, then it just changes back to normal. I have looked through the fourm and it seems like i'm the only one with this problem? I honestly do not know how to fix it. Please help.

File transfer speeds are slow

Hello, I have a device connected to Hamachi as a mobile client over PPTP. I can see it as a relayed tunnel in my Hamachi app. I can ping it and connect to it with my SFTP client. Unfortunately, transfer speeds over Hamachi are very slow. I only get about 120KB/s upload to the device. I get much faster transfer speeds with a direct connection over the internet.

 

Is there any way to speed up a PPTP mobile device connection in Hamachi?
